Waterproofing for Tiled Areas

Waterproofing is the part of a tiled area you never see and can't afford to get wrong. We install membrane systems as an integrated part of our tiling scope — prepared, detailed and inspected before anything is covered.

Applications

Where we waterproof

Our waterproofing supports the tiling we install — which means the membrane, the substrate preparation and the tile system are specified and sequenced together rather than handed between trades.

  • Bathrooms, ensuites and internal wet areas
  • Showers, hobs, niches and floor wastes
  • Pools, spas and water features
  • Balconies and terraces
  • Podium decks and areas over habitable space
  • Laundries and plant areas within larger projects
  • Commercial wet areas and amenities
  • External tiled areas requiring membrane protection

Method

Preparation, systems and detailing

Most membrane failures start at junctions, penetrations and substrates that were never suitable in the first place.

Substrate preparation

Surfaces cleaned, corrected, primed and screeded to fall so the membrane is applied to a sound, compatible base.

System application

Membrane products installed to the manufacturer's system, at the specified coverage and coat build, with the correct primers and bond breakers.

Detailing & compliance

Corners, hobs, penetrations, wastes and terminations detailed and reinforced, with inspection before tiling commences.
