Pool renovation
Retiling an existing pool
Renovation work is a preparation exercise before it is a tiling one. Old surfaces come back to a sound, true substrate, waterproofing is reinstated where required, and the new tile is set out to the pool's actual geometry rather than forced onto it.
Common renovation scope includes stripping failed interiors, correcting steps and benches that have moved, re-forming coping lines, and replacing tired waterline bands with a mosaic that suits the current architecture.
Where a spa or water feature is part of the pool, tiling and detailing are resolved together so materials, joints and levels carry through consistently.
Materials & detail
Mosaics, porcelain and coping selected for water
Tile selection for pools and spas is a performance decision as much as an aesthetic one — glass and ceramic mosaics, fully vitrified porcelain, adhesives and grouts rated for permanent immersion, and movement joints located where the structure needs them.
